Old Kent Road Stop Site

Good Morning,

Old Kent Road Safer Neighbourhood team conducted a stop site on the Old Kent Road this past week to target scooters that were acting in an anti-social manner. We have received many complaints from residents regarding scooters being driven dangerously across the whole ward.

Four people were arrested during the operation:  

2 were in the UK working illegally

1 was a Romanian national who was wanted for murder back in Romania

1 was in the country illegally

We also processed a number of scooter drivers for driving with no insurance and no driving licence. We will continue to target scooters and mopeds to enqure that they are being driven lawfully and safely.
